Trim For Three Please
Us dogs had a reason for our journey to town yesterday morning.
We arose early, put on our clean duds, jumped on the water taxi and then a Pulmonia all to get hair cuts.
Here’s a shot of us all on our way home. I hope you’re as happy with the results as Marilyn is.
I agree, the other dogs do look better.
Once again, there’s a huge difference in numbers here. for the dogs, a cut like that in Canada or the US would run from $35 to $50 or more each. At A Jungla (The Jungle) in Mazatlan, it costs 150 pesos for each dog. I usually pay from $10 to $15 for my cut, here it’s 70 pesos. So $85 in Canada versus about $32 here. Put simply, with the difference in the cost of 3 cuts you could buy a good bottle of rum and a couple of nice bottles of wine and still have money left over.
So we did.
Today we are back to the city, I for a couple of root canals, then both Marilyn and I get some new crowns. I’ve promised myself that for medicinal purposes I get to sample that rum on my return today.
Just in case you’re interested, it’s 7 AM and 20C (about 70 F) with a light haze. If the haze continues we will have another beautiful sunset tonight.
Who knows, that might make the rum taste even better.
