Never Ever Again
Looking at the atlas and planning our little jaunt down California 1, I harkened back to my apparently not very good memory. I remembered that the roads were a little curvey and the views were outstanding. Not much else. It wasn’t until we were actually on the road the other day when I realized that the last time we did this road was more than 20 years ago, we were in a 8′ wide, 26′ coach. This time we are in our house. It’s 8.5 ft wide, 39′ long and pulls a 16′ truck. Throw in the towbar and you’ve got 60 feet. Weigh it and you’ve got more than 15 tons.
I’m sure you will agree: CA1 is both curvey and has outstanding views.
Do you like the job Mar did getting the pictures? Me too. Fortunately for us all she didn’t get the really scary ones, her eyes were closed for those.
We are now off that road, inland in mid California and did the last couple of hours yesterday on busy 6 lane highways. I have never before thought of rush hour traffic as relaxing.
