Mexican Mice
To you and I those three items in the picture look like mouse traps. We have a mouse or mice who apparently consider them feeding stations. Almost a week ago we discovered we had visitors, loaded up the trap you see on the right with peanut butter and waited for the “snap”. And waited. And waited… Nothing.
The next day, the peanut butter was long gone but the trap was still set. Everybody gets lucky once in a while right? So I added fresh new peanut butter and waited once more. Next Day, same story; Peanut butter is gone, trap is still set to go.
Time to bring in reinforcements: I enlisted the help of a couple of neighbors. Ken lent us the two old fashioned favorite traps on the left and Ginger stopped in town and got us some sticky mats.
This morning, even before coffee, I check what I think are my mouse traps. Peanut butter is gone, traps are still ready to snap. Obviously he’s got a few friends to help him with this one. They probably even had a couple of beers while they discussed strategy, laughing and joking away. They even brought slasa and hot sauce to really make the peanut butter taste good.
5 peanut buttered mouse traps and two sticky mats and no mice. I think that makes the score Mice 7, Larry 0.
So; Now what do I do?
Now it’s Saturday moning, 24 hours later: Current Score is Mice 10, Larry 0.
