Mexican Angels

We’ve talked often about the importance of the Mexican angels. It seems that whenever we are in Mexico and get ourselves into a bit of jam, we are immediatley saved from whatever horrible fate we were about to suffer by some locals who step out of nowhere and make everything right for us.  We’ve shared lots of these stories with you and have even more that we haven’t.

We appreciate their help and do our best to return the favor when ever we get the chance.

Yesterday Mar, the dogs and I were cruising down the beach, kinda looking for shells and spot a Mexican family, out for a Sunday picnic, stuck in the sand. We imediatley donned our caped costumes and jumped into action. He had a rope, well OK, maybe it was a string, but he made it into a rope and with our 4 x4we dragged them out onto solid sand.

In their best english they all said “Thankyou”. In our best spanish we responded “De Nada”. He ran to their truck and brought us a couple of frosty cold (fria) Corona’s. Ever grateful we responded with “Gracias Amigo”

One more favor returned, hundreds left to go.

By the way, for the baseball fans. Saturday night the Mazatlan Venados lost game 7 in their series with Hermosillo. Now the “Orange Growers” move on to the Carribean Championship. Somehow “go orange growers” doesn’t have the same ring as “fear the deer”

    Hey Lar
Really like the new format. You should send this to the Travel Network and see if they need someone with your talents. Okay so maybe the Thirtsty Wanderer and you could educate the world on Mexican beer. Sorry about the crappy weather you two have endured. That beach looks really rough too. You could use the pictures as your resume to show the network folks that you can handle difficult days. Hugs to you both.
