Betty’s RV Park
We’re still at Betty’s RV Park in Abbeville, Louisiana just a little south of Lafayette.
The original plan was that we were only going to be here for four days, I mean, afterall, we need to start pushing north. On March 31 our medical insurance expires (what was I thinking?) and on April 2 the license plates on the coach and the truck do the same (never thought of that either). . But then 4 nights became 5 nights, then we might as well make it a week. Tomorrow, we gotta go, we’ll make reservations up the road, just to make sure.
It’s not the park that keeps us here. As you can see, it’s small. It’s certainly clean and the wifi is the best we’ve ever had anywhere, but the park is just OK.

The difference is the people, starting with Betty. That’s the reputation of the place. There’s a lot to see in the Abbeville area (you are in the heart of Cajun Country), the local residents are really freindly, the area is gorgeous and Betty makes sure you know where to go and what to see.

So, if you are ever poking down I-10 through Louisiana, or even close to there, stop at Betty’s for a day or two. Chances are, we might just see you there.
