As you may have guessed by now, we have certainly fallen in love with Mazatlan, Stone Island and especially the friendly and neat folks in Tres Amigo Park 2. We like it all so much that we have booked ourselves back in here for four months next “winter”.
What you see above is roughly the view we will have out our windshield every morning beginning this mid November.
So before we leave here in a couple of weeks we will set our GPS for Site 49, Tres Amigos RV Park 2, Isla de la Piedra, Mexico.
Yes, you can call us excited.

About an hour’s drive north of Mazatlan just off 15 you will find the clean and colorful pueblito of El Quelite . This ranching and farming village, famous for raising fighting cocks as well as playing the game Ulama I would explain as Hipball (the players can’t touch the ball with their hands or feet) is a joy to just walk through and soak up the colors.
While you’re there you better come hungry to El Meson D Los Laureanos, for both the unique decor and their amazing food. I promise that you will even enjoy the bathroom.
Even though in El Quelite you are a world away from the go-go of Mazatlan, you’ll back on the beach long before the sun goes down.
