As you know, I spare no expense for you my loyal readers. So to honor you at this special time I’ve employed a couple of famous actors to get you in the mood.

Have Fun, don’t eat too much candy.
Oh, and by the way, after being reunited with Cameron and Abby I will no longer smile politley when you tell me that your grand children are the smartest in the world. I claim that title for our grandchildren and ours alone. Except for our new one next April, he/she will right up there too, I’m sure.

After about 2500 miles of highway, including a couple of hundred miles of “will be a highway someday” in Sakatchewan, when we arrived in Edmonton, our motor home was a little dirty. Now I can’t have my mother-in-law thinking that I’m keeping her daughter in a dirty old trailer can I? If there is one women in the world you want on your side it’s the mom in law.
So, before we parked at Glowing Embers we stopped for a wash job. Another first in the Larry life: $97.00 to wash the coach and the truck. I’m not complaining, and yes we’ve had the same job done elswhere for about $50 but things are a little more expensive here. Honest, it’s just a comment!
Anyway, here’s the result:

Motorhome and truck are both shiny and Mar’s wine budget takes a serious hit.

Meet Clark Snell. He’s the father of our daughter-in-law Elizabeth. That makes us inlaws, I can only hope some of his skills will rub off on me. Clark and his wife Gwen live in Hanna, Alberta.
He says he’s just learning to work with wood, I can’t imagine what he will accomplish when he really gets going. I’ve introduced you to a couple of other folks who spend their spare time working with wood and they both do neat stuff , remember Fran and Gene, but Clark’s attention to detail and knowledge of the subjects he is creating is quite amazing.

To this point he is pretty much self taught but has recently joined a club where he can interact with other wood carvers.

I wish I had a better shot of this hawk. The detail and coloring are amazing! As you can see, the hawk’s sights are set on the poor little rabbit. He’s about to become lunch.
