We’ve Been Invited!

September 29th, 2009

We’ve talked before about Mike & Terri Church’s Book. Anybody who RV’s in Mexico considers their publications to be the “Bible”. In fact it’s hard to find any Gringo who’s ever been near a Mexican RV park who doesn’t quote the Church’s regularily.

So way back in June I ordered their new edition. Today, there it was in all it’s glory in our mailbox.

Boy, am I excited to see this book. And now look at the motorhome on the cover. Look familiar? Look at all like this one?

Hell yes, I’d say. Is that a personal invite or what?

Hang on Amigo’s, we’ll be there soon. Not soon enough but soon.

Let The Migration Begin

September 19th, 2009

This morning when I left for work there was a motorhome parked here in #10. Dave & Dianne left today, off to visit some relatives before they make an early exit to Florida, then west for the winter.  They’ve been our neighbors since early in May. That’s how things go in RV Parks, people move into your life, people move out of your life. They all become friends, once in a while you really connect and those folks become really good friends.

Over the next few weeks, many more will pull out to begin their winter adventures, off to Florida or Texas, Arizona, California or Mexico,  and then it will be our turn.

So here’s to Dave and Dianne, Safe Travels guys. Safe Travels.

The Perfect Combo

September 18th, 2009

Rv’ers all share a love of travel and adventure but we certainly differ in interests and what we see as the perfect RV Combination.

It was interesting to see how this combo all goes together. In the back you see just a corner of a big 5th wheel. It’s a Mobile Suites, a very high end residential style recreation vehicle. In front of that you see a shiny Volvo truck (or tractor as they say in the biz). Even though the 5er is heavy, I’ll bet the truck could pull a half dozen of them and never raise a sweat. In front of the truck is a Smart Car. Interesting side note; you can see the license plate on the car it says RVRYDER. The truck says RVPULLER. They disapointed me with the plate on the trailer though. It was a meaningless J27 047 or something. The have one more vehicle though. It’s plate says BARK AVE. Could they be dog lovers?

So anyway, how does it work?

See the deck on the back of the truck? That’s where the Smart Car goes with the 5th wheel right behind. That’s how hey have their car and carry it.
