It Works!

Out our windsheild at Greenacres

Months ago I told you about my new Radio Labs WiFi antenna and happy I was to have it. Remember, all the great things it was going to do? Well here we are in Greenacres RV Park in Kitchener-Waterloo to visit Brian and Sheila and guess what, in this park there is no wifi, nothing even close but when I put up the antenna here we are. Courtesy of the “Datich”s” we are up and running. Thankyou for NOT securing your network. I promise not to abuse the privilege.
On another note, this was Mar’s first weekday day of retirement and we did well. We did a run but not til after 7:00 AM, it took us a record 3.5 hours to pack up the coach to move (we’ve done it in under 20 minutes when we were in a hurry) and she didn’t have a drink til after 3:00. Seconds after 3 mind you, but after 3 none the less. As I mentioned though we are visiting Brian and Sheila and we are certainly late for happy hour so I gotta go.
Thanks for reading.

Change Of Plans

You will recall that the plan called for us to go to the Stroke Clinic on Monday September 22, get the A-OK and start packing, ready to hit the road a week later on September 29, destination Alberta, the West Coast and finally Mexico.

So we were right on time for our Monday appointment but that’s where the plans change. My doctor strongly suggests some more tests, ponting out that the odds of havng a another stroke are really good with in 90 days of a mini-stroke. So we should s l o w d o w n.

The tests begin tomorrow, then mid October, then another test or 2 all winding up back at the Stroke Clinic to see the doctor on October 27. Suddenly getting out of here in early November would be a gift!

So no more head west to Edmonton, and beyond. Now instead of a plan it’s a hope for a trip somewhere south before it gets too cold and nasty. Mar will fly out to Edmonton for a few days, all will be well.

Marilyn is finished work this Friday and so we have plan “B”.

We have lived in Ontario for more than 6 years and have never really seen the “World Famous” fall colors. This year we will. We also now have time to do all the things we didn’t have time to do before we left.

I’ll bet you big money there will be a new clean canvas on the easel by this time next week and a great opportunity to get together one more time with our good friends.

It’s all good!

Well, too bad that you will not be heading west. We were hoping to see you – but most importantly – you need to get all these tests done so that you can be a -ok.

We will keep in touch and maybe when you come north in the spring – come by our new digs in Palm Springs.

It is unfortunate that you can’t start your Mexican Getaway. Marilyn painting a masterpiece, I believe she will be painting a collection of masterpieces!!! Northern Ontario is spectacular at this time of year!

It took me days, no, weeks to get through this process but now I can once again post to my blog from my handheld. What that means is I don’t need internet or wifi to post and I hope that means that I get back to regular posts.
Here’s hoping
