OK, yes, part of it is I am showing off my new Blood Pressure Monitor. But more importantly, look at the numbers. They are pretty much normal That’s exciting!

So it’s been about 2 weeks since that fateful day, or in Roger talk “12th day of the rest of my life”. My stamina is returning, as is my co-ordination. I visited my doctor the other day and he says “keep up the good work”. I take my meds every day just like I promised I would too. We are off to the Stroke Clinic on September 22. After that, we can plan our winter. Hopefuly I won’t be needing a snow shovel.

Over the past week we’ve had a bunch of visitors at our campsite in 50 Point and it’s all a lot of fun. Last weekend we had a visit from Roger and Chris, last night it was the “Cedar Street Drinking Team” Doug and Linda, Glen and Cheryl and Sue. These are all neighbors from our days at 18 Cedar St and last night’s group has shared more than a few stories in our backyards over the years.

I don’t know if it’s our new lifestyle or just the age we are reaching but I realize even more the importance of People and Friends, old and new.
